For anyone who has scheduled any kind of meeting with more than one person knows how much of a headache it can be. The problem only compounds when more people are involved. Part of the problem, is not everyone—even within the same company—uses the same digital calendar program. Or for that matter, some still use a paper calendar.
I have been collecting a few apps and add-ons to help make the process of coordinating a meeting, just a little easier. Some of the are add-ons for browsers, others for Gmail and some are standalone apps. All of them should help ease the burden when it comes time to schedule the next multi-person meeting.
For many, their calendar rules their life. If an event isn’t on their schedule, it didn’t really happen. One of the handiest parts of having both a Blackberry and a Google account, is being able to automatically sync them.
The 2-way sync is wireless and automatic. After the initial set-up, there isn’t much you need to do other than add in appointments. The Google Sync app for your Blackberry will sync at regular intervals.
This means you can add appointments on either your handheld or online. The reminders and pop-ups you set when inputting the event information will be displayed on the device as a pop-up notification. If you have a Gmail browser add-on for Firefox, you will see a pop-up displayed on your computer screen as well.

Whether you are managing a calendar for someone else or have multiple Google accounts for yourself, the sharing function of Google Calendar is damn handy. While I don’t have a frequent need to share with others, I find on occasion I have to share a calendar with a client or coworker. Google Calendar makes sharing super easy to share with your other accounts too.
