I was thinking about it earlier today. There has been a big shift over the past couple years.
It used to be if you had a Blackberry you were somebody important. Now there are a lot of choices for those of you who conduct business while on the go.

Do you pay for something if it helps you save time or money?
The reason I ask is, I have been buying more mobile applications and services recently. None of the subscriptions are extremely expensive and most of the applications are the price of a latte.
Since I deal with a lot of smart phones, I get the chance to talk to people about how they use their device.
Some of you may be experiencing problems with the data on your Blackberry today. The problem is affecting many carriers, but not all of the Blackberry users.
A work around until the problem is 100% fixed is to pull the battery and leave it out for about 30 seconds, then replace it.
This should get you by until the problem is fixed.
What are you doing while your Blackberry is down?
I have been using a Blackberry for several years now, and one of the features I use on a daily basis is dialing a phone number from the home screen.
The other day when getting to know an application I purchased, I was asked to turn this feature off. Let me tell you, there are a bunch of shortcuts I didn’t know about.
It has taken me a little getting used to going into the phone app to dial, but the ease of entering so many of the programs I use is worth it.
For many, their calendar rules their life. If an event isn’t on their schedule, it didn’t really happen. One of the handiest parts of having both a Blackberry and a Google account, is being able to automatically sync them.
The 2-way sync is wireless and automatic. After the initial set-up, there isn’t much you need to do other than add in appointments. The Google Sync app for your Blackberry will sync at regular intervals.
This means you can add appointments on either your handheld or online. The reminders and pop-ups you set when inputting the event information will be displayed on the device as a pop-up notification. If you have a Gmail browser add-on for Firefox, you will see a pop-up displayed on your computer screen as well.
If you live and die by what’s on your calendar, then take a minute to read on.
Blackberrys have so many ways to customize them to your personal usage it is ridiculous. It is almost impossible to know them all.
Do you use the hell out of your Blackberry Messenger or any other IM service on your device? I have been a Blackberry geek for a few years now and just found out you can have an icon for people you talk to the most.
Here’s how to add an icon for the people you talk to most.
Google is working its way into every corner of our lives. I give them tons of credit for filling people’s needs. That’s kinda what a great business does, finds a problem and solves it.
That being said, here is a Google goodie for anyone who uses a cell phone. It’s been around for a while and is a must for anyone without web access on your phone.
Google SMS (text) works by sending a question to Google via text message. Google SMS can reply to any number of requests ranging from the weather to flight times.
Many people I talk to have the desire to use their daily calendar while on the go. A lot of these same people do not have a smart phone. Are these people destined to a life of disorganization and dual inputting calendar appointments? Heck no.
If you have a Google account, use Calendar and have a cell phone that receives text messages, you are good to go.
